One of Napa Valley’s Favorite Hotels & Resorts

The Meritage Resort and Spa

The Meritage Resort and Spa opened in July 2006 to become one of Napa Valley’s top luxury hotels and resorts. Situated across nine acres of vineyards, The Meritage Resort continues to develop its perfect blend of facilities, amenities and services to make your Napa Valley visit relaxing and productive.

Adjacent to one another, our Napa Valley hotel opened along with the Vino Bello Resort in 2006, creating the ultimate Wine Country destination. Combined, the Napa hotels feature 502 luxury guest rooms and suites, a gourmet restaurant with an award-winning Chef, two swimming pools and premier meeting and event space.

In 2007, Spa Terra opened at The Meritage Resort, making hotel history with its unique location. Forty feet below the iconic Grape Crusher Statue, the world’s first entirely underground spa was built. The 9,500 square foot, $7.5 million project features steam grottos, soaking pools, water walls and lavishly appointed private treatment rooms for individuals and couples. The décor of Spa Terra reflects the Mediterranean theme of The Meritage Resort, complete with hand-wrought fixtures and extensive custom tile work.

Built to provide guests with the complete Napa experience, The Meritage Resort also revealed the Estate Cave, offering guests the opportunity to experience Napa Valley wine tasting right on our hotel premises. Adjacent to our underground spa, the Trinitas Tasting Room features beautiful stone and dark woods for an environment unlike any other. Guests to Trinitas Cellars can indulge in custom flights of Trinitas wines and artisan chocolate pairings.

Then, in May 2012, the largest resort in Napa, The Meritage Resort and Spa, introduced even more rooms, dining and entertainment options with a $40 million expansion. This 19-month long enhancement included Crush Ultra Lounge with six luxury bowling lanes, Blend Cafe with customized espresso beverages, an event piazza for celebrations and over 15,000 additional square feet of meeting and event space. The adults only pool was also given a makeover with private cabanas, luxurious lounge chairs, a large fire pit and a pool bar that is open seasonally.

In May and June 2013 The Meritage Resort and Spa remodeled and updated its main lobby, including The Commons: A Wine Bar. A new event deck with pre-function space was also built to incorporate sweeping views of the Napa Valley and the resort’s hillside vineyards while taking advantage of the beautiful oak trees and gazebo for weddings and events of up to 200. In March 2014 the resort completed a floor the ceiling remodel of its 157 original guestrooms, including the addition of three bridal suites.
