Do you have outdoor venues?

Yes, we have a Piazza Lawn that is used for wedding ceremonies and three outdoor covered terraces used for dinner or cocktail hour. A new outdoor venue will be coming in June 2013. Please inquire with the Catering Sales Manager for more details.

 

Can you accommodate both our ceremony and reception?

We can accommodate ceremonies for up to 200 guests and receptions for up to 650 guests.

 

Do my guests have to stay at the resort in order to have our event there?

No, it is not a requirement that your guests stay at our resort; however, we do offer group rates for those who choose to stay with us.

 

What are the hours of events/cut-off times?

Events are quoted on a six (6) hour time period and weddings can be scheduled over the hours of 10:00 a.m. – 4:00 p.m. and 5:00 p.m. – 11:00 p.m. An overtime charge will be imposed for events exceeding six hours.

 

Can we bring in our own wines?

We suggest that guests select from our award-winning wine list. We do have a corkage fee if bringing your own wine is desired. The Catering Sales Manager will be happy to discuss this with you.

 

Can we bring in our own caterer?

No, The Meritage Resort and Spa will provide you with a full-service catering team. Our award-winning Culinary Team has designed an extensive selection of catering menus.

 

Do you cater off-site?

Yes, we have a variety of off-site locations where we can cater to your group. Please inquire with your Catering Sales Manager.

 

Do you have a list of Preferred Vendors?

We have carefully selected a list of Preferred Vendors that we have associated with based on their quality and professionalism. You are not required to select a vendor from our Preferred Vendor list but the vendors you choose must be licensed and professional.

 

Is your Chef flexible with menu requests?

Yes, our Catering Team will develop a unique experience to suit your needs.

 

Do you require us to have a Wedding Planner?

A “Day of” Wedding Planner is highly recommended for all weddings, and is required for weddings with more than 50 guests. We can provide you with recommendations for a number of professional Wedding Planners if you so desire.
