Giornale Meritage NewsletterConfessions of a Spa DivaThe Meritage Resort and Spa asks… are you a Spa Diva? Do you fall under a spell when you hear the soothing sound of flowing water…breathe in the scent of jasmine and lavender… feel two strong, yet gentle hands massaging those tensions away? If you said yes, then you are, indeed, a Spa Diva. True Spa Divas can appreciate the sheer bliss of delicious, We asked other Spa Divas to confess their spa experiences. We’ve received many posts on our blog. Here is a sampling! "I have had many spa experiences, both good and bad. One of my best spa experiences was, of course, at the Spa Terra. I stayed at the Meritage Resort on a retreat just for moms in November 2008. The spa is in a beautiful setting, and the spa itself is gorgeous! I did an entire package involving wine. My passion is wine, so it was fun to immerse myself in it literally! This spa experience differed from my usual, so I remember wondering if I would enjoy it as much. Oh, my gosh, did I ever! I started by steaming in the steam room, then had a grape scrub and wrap, followed by a massage and light lunch. I liked that I stayed with the same specialist during the entire experience – she was fantastic! Afterward, the wine and cheese luncheon with fresh honeycomb was so wonderful! I practically skipped back to my room with glee. Being in Napa for four days, I did this on my second day, and it really set the tone in making my Mommy Vacation a wonderful, relaxing, and memorable experience!” Amy (via email) "My favorite of all time was the time I flew with my best friend, Amy (another spa diva!) to Sydney in January 2008 - 14 hour flight from LAX and we were both exhausted. We booked a noon massage, got to the spa in downtown Sydney at 8am and spent the morning alternating between laying out in the hot Australian summer sun and dipping in the mineral pool. At noon we went into the couples room (which was awesome - although we aren't a couple we both loved it!) and had an hour of the most amazing "anti jetlag" massage with aromatherapy. Afterward, we took leisurely showers and went back to the airport for the rest of our journey to Tasmania later that day - rested, refreshed, revitalized and ready to go! All that said - Amy still says her favorite massage of all time was at Spa Terra!" Sarah (via email)
